| What is the difference between the two different paint choices - Ceramic Paint and Acrylic Paint Answer: When you use ceramic paint you must have the piece fired in a kiln. Answer: Yes, you can use your own paint, we offer a ceramics only option where your order consists only of the ceramics piece(s) allowing you to paint it with the paint of you choice. Answer: We are extra careful with the packaging of ceramics so we don't see breakage, but if one should occur, take a picture of the broken ceramic piece and send it to: info@ceramicsathome.com and we will ship you out another identical piece at no cost. | If we purchase a ceramics piece to be fired, how long is the total process? Answer: Here is an example of how the time frame may work: Days 1 and 2 - the ceramics are packaged and shipped to you Between days 2 and 5 - FedEx Smart Post delivery to your door step (Please let us know if you will need the shipping expedite) Painting the masterpiece ~ you can take as long as you would like to paint your pieces It takes 2 to 5 days for us to received your ceramics after you have shipped them back to us Can take 1 to 4 days depending on when we receive your shipment. We fire every Tuesday and Friday. After firing, we ship the finished product back to you. It may take 2 to 5 days to receive your ceramics back from firing. ***This is an estimate from FedEx. | Will you fire my own ceramics and how much do you charge? Answer: We have a Fire Only Option. The customer is responsible for all shipping which means two shipping labels. We charge $1 per ceramic inch- Kiln Firing Only Back to Top __________________________________________________________________________________________ How long can I keep the ceramics before I need to send them back for firing? Answer: We have not had a problem with FedEx return shipping labels expiring. We have had items shipped back after two months without any problems. Answer: No. Our paint is part of our ceramics kits and is not currently sold separately.
